TORONTO, ON, Canada and CHAGRIN FALLS, OH, United States — November 3, 2026 — PlaySpace, a leading pediatric digital mental and behavioral health solution, and Augment Therapy, the maker of the ARWell PRO augmented reality exercise platform, today announced a partnership that brings movement-based therapeutic play to clinicians who work with children, teens, and neurodivergent youth.

Through the partnership, clinicians using PlaySpace can extend their sessions with ARWell PRO, which turns a device’s camera into a game controller so that a child’s own body drives the play. The collaboration connects PlaySpace’s secure, play-based platform for mental health practitioners with Augment Therapy’s motion-based games, giving care teams one more way to engage young people whether they are in the clinic, in a telehealth session, or at home.

Physical movement and mental and behavioral health are often supported by different members of a child’s care team. By bringing the two platforms together, PlaySpace and Augment Therapy aim to give clinicians additional ways to incorporate movement-based play alongside mental health, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy services.

“Children tell us what they need through play, and for many of them, that play involves their whole body,” said Matt Cohen, CEO of PlaySpace. “Partnering with Augment Therapy lets clinicians bring movement, regulation, and fun into the same space where they build trust with a child. It also opens PlaySpace to the physiotherapists and occupational therapists who are so often part of a young person’s care team.”

ARWell PRO offers more than 60 therapeutic games designed around movement and cognitive tasks that can support goals such as balance, coordination, strength, executive function, and emotional regulation. The platform is available in eight languages, includes sensory-friendly features, and captures movement data in real time so clinicians can capture metrics as patients play, giving clinicians objective information to help monitor progress while reducing manual documentation. ARWell PRO can be adapted for children who use mobility devices, those who are unsafe to stand, and active teens looking for a greater challenge.

“As a physical therapist, I’ve seen firsthand the power that movement games can have on overall engagement in therapy sessions, especially for kids. We built Augment Therapy’s ARWell PRO around the belief that movement technology can make therapy fun, accessible, and inclusive of different abilities. PlaySpace shares that commitment to meeting kids where they are, while combining that with better support tools for the clinicians. This partnership will finally close the gaps in addressing the whole child, both physically and emotionally,” said Lindsay Watson, Co-Founder and CEO of Augment Therapy.

The partnership highlights:

  • Whole-child care: Movement-based games that support physical goals alongside emotional regulation and engagement.
  • Flexible delivery: Use in person, by telehealth, or as part of a home program between sessions.
  • Inclusive design: Multilingual, sensory-friendly activities that can be adapted for a wide range of abilities.
  • Actionable movement data: Real-time data capture that gives clinicians objective information to help monitor performance and progress.
  • Broader reach: A shared path for mental health clinicians, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists to support young people, including those in rural and remote areas.
