About PlaySpace
PlaySpace (playspace.health) is on a mission to transform how children, adolescents, and neurodivergent adults engage with mental health services and wellness through our immersive, interactive platform. As a growing startup in the health tech space, we are committed to delivering innovative solutions that help individuals and communities flourish. We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on sales leader to join our team as the first dedicated sales hire.
Job Scope
As the Business Development & GTM lead, you will be a founding member of the outbound sales team at a fast-growing digital health company. This is a perfect role for someone who is interested in joining an early-stage business to manage the sales lifecycle from end to end, including building sales workflowing, prospecting, outbound demoing, closing, and measuring campaign success and metrics. You’ll work directly with the executive team and close deals that shape how therapy looks for the next generation. If you’re looking for a role that mixes sales, strategy, systems, and serious ownership, this is it.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Leveraging technology to create a repeatable sales process from prospecting, qualifying, demoing, and closing new healthcare small to medium business deals.
- Own the outreach process from first touch to qualified opportunity, using a mix of email, LinkedIn, and personalized sequences.
- Experiment outbound campaigns and messaging to various sectors within healthcare to establish market fit.
- Be proactively outbounding, identifying, engaging, and booking meetings with high-potential leads.
- Regularly speak with clients and prospects to understand their needs, pitch solutions, and help move deals forward.
GTM Systems & Sales Automation
- Own and optimize outbound sales tech stack using HubSpot, Clay, and our broader GTM tech stack.
- Launch and manage strategic outbound campaigns, powered by AI and automation, and scale what works.
- Build automated lead generation, enrichment, and tracking flows to make sure there is no opportunity that slips through the cracks.
- Contribute to and evolve our sales playbook, capturing what wins and scaling it.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or revenue operations, ideally in digital health, health tech, edtech, or mental health sectors
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proven success engaging with clinicians, schools, or healthcare organizations
- Demonstrated experience in high-growth startup environments and in building GTM workflows using tools such as HubSpot, Clay, or ClickUp
- Passion for experimenting with AI and software to optimize sales efficiency, streamline outreach, and accelerate lead qualification
- Comfortable operating as a first hire in a role, owning new channels, and testing novel strategies
- Revenue-oriented mindset with a bias for scalable systems and results-driven execution
- Strong written communication skills, with a track record of crafting compelling outreach and persuasive pitch materials
What We Offer
- Competitive Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Commission and meaningful equity in a high-growth startup.
- Mission-Driven Culture: Work with a passionate team committed to improving mental health and wellness.
- Professional Growth: Opportunity to shape and lead the finance function, with significant autonomy and visibility.
